Chorale Music Program

Chorale Music Program

Midway University offers students an opportunity to perform in the University Chorale ensemble. The Chorale program allows students to earn academic credit for participating in the program. Through the duration of the course, students will develop their vocal and musical skills and perform a variety of choral literature. Students will participate in weekly rehearsals, community events, and the annual Christmas Vespers and Spring concerts. Elective or Arts & Humanities credits can be earned for completion of the course. This course is also designated as a requirement to receive the Music Studies minor. The course may be completed for a maximum of 8 semesters or 8 credit hours. Prior musical knowledge is not necessary. In fact, we encourage students from all majors and backgrounds to participate.

Scholarships are offered to students through an audition process typically held on Scholarship Day. Students are only eligible to receive this scholarship if they are not currently receiving any other Type B scholarships. Review the scholarship page in the catalog for more information.
