  • University Achieves Tenth Consecutive Year of Enrollment Growth

September 09, 2025

A record 2,025 students have enrolled at Midway University for the Fall 2025 census, solidifying the school’s 10th consecutive year of enrollment growth.

This continued momentum underscores the University’s success in expanding academic offerings, providing flexible learning options, and investing in campus improvements. With ten years of steady enrollment growth, Midway University continues to strengthen its role as one of Kentucky’s most affordable and forward-looking private universities.

“This is an exciting milestone for Midway University,” said Dr. John P. Marsden, President, Midway University. “Ten straight years of growth is a testament to the hard work of our faculty, staff, and students who believe in our mission. With this growth, we remain focused on keeping education affordable while also investing in the future of our campus.”

Midway welcomed an incoming class of 318 new traditional undergraduate students. Significant growth was seen this year in the online/evening undergraduate programs, specifically growth in the new hybrid Associate of Nursing degree program.

With enrollment at record levels, housing capacity remains a critical priority. Midway University is currently advancing its multi-phase campus improvement plan to meet the growing demand:

  • New Library Project – Construction on a modern, state-of-the-art library began in August. This facility will provide expanded learning spaces, technology resources, and collaborative study areas.
  • Repurposing the Current Library – Once the new library is underway, the existing library will be fully converted into much-needed additional student housing.

“All of our projects, including the new library and the addition of housing, are designed to support our students’ success both inside and outside the classroom,” added Marsden. “And these enhancements continue to be completed without adding any new debt.”
