February 12, 2024

Midway, Ky. – Midway University is pleased to announce the launch of two new master’s degree programs, namely the Master of Health Care Administration (MHA) and the Master of Management Information Systems (MMIS). These programs have been designed to meet the growing demands and challenges in the fields of healthcare and technology.

The Master of Health Care Administration program equips students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in the dynamic and ever-evolving healthcare industry. With a focus on leadership, management, and strategic planning, graduates of this program will be well-prepared to take on leadership roles in hospitals, healthcare organizations, and other healthcare-related entities.

The Master of Management Information Systems program offers students a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of business and technology. With a curriculum that combines advanced business strategies and cutting-edge technology solutions, graduates of this program will be equipped to lead organizations in leveraging information systems to drive innovation, streamline operations, and enhance overall business performance.

"We are thrilled to introduce these new master’s degree programs in Health Care Administration and Management Information Systems," said Dr. Tim Campbell, Vice President of Academic Affairs at Midway University. "As the healthcare industry continues to evolve and technology becomes increasingly integrated into organizations, it is crucial to provide our students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in these fields. These programs will give graduates the tools to make a meaningful impact and drive positive change within their respective industries. In addition, these new programs offer continued pathways for our undergraduate students who are interested in continuing their studies to earn a master’s degree which will help them to be competitive in the job market."

Both programs will be offered online, providing students with the flexibility to pursue their studies while balancing other personal and professional commitments. The online format fosters a collaborative learning environment, allowing students to engage with faculty and peers from diverse backgrounds and geographical locations. Once the Department of State approves the addition and qualification of this program and adds it to the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), the MMIS program will also be available to international students on campus who wish to earn their graduate degree in the United States (U.S.).

Applications for both programs are now open, with the first courses set to begin in the upcoming academic year.
