Midway University is pleased to welcome Dr. Timothy Campbell as the new Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Dr. Campbell brings 15 years of experience in academic leadership to the University. He has worked closely with faculty, deans, and senior administration to advance curricular growth and academic initiatives.

“I look forward to working with Dr. Campbell on the expansion of our academic programs to support the continued upward trajectory of Midway University,” said Dr. John P. Marsden, President, Midway University. “He brings a strategic mindset, entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit, and strong academic experience to the institution. I also wish to thank Dr. Carrie Christensen for serving in an interim capacity following a leadership transition during the pandemic.”

“In a time when many institutions are trying to sort through how to move forward, I’m pleased to join Midway University with their proven track record of solving and overcoming enrollment challenges with a steady hand and clear roles,” said Dr. Campbell. “When friends ask me to describe the school, I reply, ‘They’re focused, bold and carving out new spaces in Kentucky and beyond. Be on the lookout because here comes MidwayU.’”

Prior to joining Midway University, Dr. Campbell was at Asbury University where he was the Vice Provost.

Dr. Campbell holds a Ph.D. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University, where he focused on organizational communication and change development.
