  • Two Leading Broadcasters Recognized at Midway University Spotlight Awards

May 27, 2021

Midway University hosted its Spotlight Awards on Thursday, May 20. The event, held annually in May, was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19, but the 2021 event celebrated its return with a record crowd in attendance of 300 friends and supporters of the University. The evening started with an outside reception followed by a seated dinner inside the McManis Student Center.

In addition to both a silent auction and a live auction held during the event to help raise funds to support students, the event included presenting two special awards—The Midway University Legacy Award and the Pinkerton Vision Award.

Midway University alumna and longtime Kentucky Educational Television (KET) broadcaster Donna Moore Campbell received the Midway University Legacy Award. This award recognizes her many years of service and support to the University. She currently serves as the Chair of the Midway University Board of Trustees.
