  • Midway University Announces Summer Camp Lineup

(Midway, Ky.) – Midway University has announced that it will once again host Camp Midway, a series of summer programs for children of all ages, in June and July. Starting on June 11, camps will run from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.

“We are offering camps that cater to a wide variety of interests,” said Chantelle Tickles, camp coordinator and assistant director of residence life at Midway. “Whether your child wants to explore the theater, get creative at art camp, delve into science or hone athletic skills, there’s something for everyone.”

The schedule for camps is as follows:

  • “Between the Ears” Equine Camp – June 13-17 and June 20-24 (ages 9-12)
  • “Advanced Horsemanship” Equine Camp – June 27-July 1 (ages 13 and up)
  • Art Camp: Dribble, Drabble, Paste, Stamp – June 13-17 and July 11-15 (ages 7 and up)
  • Girl Power! Camps – June 2-24 (“Passport to Fun: Girls around the World” theme for girls ages 6-12) and June 27-July 1 (“Survival of the Fittest: Camp Mashup” theme for girls ages 6-12)
  • Write On! Get Your Read On! – July 18-22 (ages 8 and up)
  • Theatre Camp – June 20-24 (ages 10-14) and July 18-22 (ages 6-9)
  • “Forces of Nature” Science Camp – July 11-15 (ages 7-12)

Camp Midway will also offer several sports clinics to help participants develop their skills in archery, soccer, softball, volleyball and basketball. Clinics will be held on the following dates:

  • Archery – June 11 and June 25 (for those entering grades 9-12)
  • Soccer – July 13-15 (ages 12-15)
  • Basketball – July 11-12 (ages 6-9) and July 18-21 (ages 10-17)
  • Softball – June 27-July 1 morning sessions (ages 9-13) and June 27-July 1 afternoon sessions (ages 14-17)
  • Volleyball – June 21-22 (ages 6-9), June 22-24 (ages 10-14) and July 13-15 (ages 15-17)
