Rev. Dr. Samuel Cllon Bland, Sr. has forged a personal and professional path built on a foundation of continuous improvement in both his professional and personal life. After obtaining two associate degrees in applied science, Samuel went back to school to obtain his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from MidwayU in 2003 to build upon his business and organizational skills.

He most recently served as the Lead Energy Design Drafting Engineer at CMTA Energy Solutions, a multi-services corporation where he was a leader in energy-efficient engineering and environment design and delivers high performance, sustainable projects for their Louisville, Kentucky office.

Though design and drafting have been the cornerstone of his career, Samuel utilizes his passion to serve his faith professionally as well. After receiving his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in theology, Samuel received his doctoral degree in 2017 from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He is the associate minister at Greater St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky and serves as the parliamentarian for the Central District Baptist Association representing 151 churches.

Samuel has also built a solid foundation of civic service commitment. He has served as vice-president of Simmons College Alumni Board, board member and hall of fame member of the American Design Drafting Association, vice moderator for Kentucky Ministers and Messengers General Baptist Association, chaplain for Fellowship for Christian Athletes, president of Central District Baptist Association Layman, coach for Jeffersontown High School Football Team, and chaplain for the Masonic Lodge # 1.

Samuel lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife, Stephanie, and together, they have 2 children.
