Why I Chose Midway: I chose Midway because of the close-knit family feel it offered as soon as I stepped on campus. I am from a small town where everyone knows everyone so coming to a school that felt like home, even though I was three hours away gave me comfort.

Favorite Midway Experience or Memory: I have SO many. Playing soccer and being a part of multiple organizations offered so many memories. But, I have to say my favorite experience was seeing my idea of Women’s Wellness Baskets come to life my senior year. This was my service project as the Gamma Beta Phi President. The baskets held feminine products, hair ties, and bobby pins. These were placed all across campus in the public common area ladies’ restrooms.

What Midway Means to Me: Midway was home away from home for me. And when I couldn’t go home to eastern Kentucky, I still felt like I was at home. I met my husband at Midway, and I met my closest friends whom I still talk to regularly at Midway. So, not only did Midway set me up for success in my education but it gave me people that changed my life forever.

Advice for Future Eagles: Never sell yourself short! Take the class out of your comfort zone, join the club to meet new people, and attend the campus events. Everyone says “It goes by too fast,” but don’t let it! Experience everything you possibly can because I promise those are the building blocks to your career one day.

Where Are You Now: Appalachian Regional Healthcare – Digital Operations Specialist (Corporate Marketing)

Interesting Fact About You: I am the Head Coach of the Girls’ Soccer team at Franklin County High School.

Other Information (family, etc.): I am a dog mom to a 2-year-old Shih Tzu named Apollo. I met my husband, Austin at Midway in our first class ever at Midway Freshman Year. It was an 8 am Midway 101 class.
