  • ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT – Hannah Waroway ’21

October 25, 2001

This month we’re checking in with one of our most recent graduates, Hannah Waroway ’21.

Originally from Ann Arbor, MI, Hannah graduated Midway University in May with a Bachelor’s in Equine Management and Rehabilitation paired with a minor in Business. Following graduation, she relocated to Frenchtown, NJ and is the barn manager at Market Street Inc – the farm of former Olympian Anne Kursinski.

WHY I CHOSE MIDWAYU: I loved the small, individualized nature that Midway provides. I also chose Midway because of the opportunity to network within the equine industry and really get my foot in the door to make headway on the career I always wanted.

FAVORITE MIDWAYU EXPERIENCE OR MEMORY: Being able to participate and lead Midway’s Hunt Seat team was by far the best experience. I met so many people, learned many valuable skills and made countless lasting memories.

WHAT MIDWAYU MEANS TO ME: Midway means the world to me. It provided me the foothold I needed to kickstart my career in the equine industry as well as providing me valuable friendships and networking opportunities.

SKILLS LEARNED AT MIDWAYU: Too many to list! I learned leadership, humility, tenacity, and practical things like time management, professional etiquette in terms of presenting myself as a candidate for a job opportunity, etc.

ADVICE FOR FUTURE EAGLES: Make sure you get involved. I know as an introvert how easy it is to opt to stay in the comfort of your dorm/apartment, but I promise you that some of the relationships you make at Midway will last a lifetime. And don’t be afraid to ask your professors for help—they love to help their students and want nothing but the best for you!

HOBBIES/INTERESTS: Photography, running, and all things horses

INTERESTING FACT ABOUT YOU: I want to go to all 63 of the national parks in the U.S.!
