It is now faster and more affordable to earn your MHA at Midway University.
Undergraduate students now can complete two graduate business courses. The courses count towards both their undergraduate and graduate degree credit hours. By enrolling in the MHA 4+1 program, students can earn their bachelor’s degree and an MHA in just five years of continuous study. This is a cost savings of more than $4,800 (with 4+1 discount and alumni discount applied to total cost of degree).
How the MHA 4+1 Program Works
Undergraduate students admitted to this program will be permitted to take two cross-listed MHA courses their senior year. Choose from BUSM 501U: Fundamentals of Graduate Business (non-business majors); BUSM 520U: Leadership and Decision Making; BUSM 540U: Organizational Behavior; or HCA 662U: Health Care Administration Project. The courses will count towards their undergraduate and graduate degrees. These are the same courses offered to graduate students, and MHA students will be in the class.
After earning their bachelor’s degree, students in the 4+1 program then officially apply to the MHA program. By completing the two courses as an undergraduate, the student can complete the MHA programs within a 12-month period.
NOTE: Students are encouraged to talk with their advisors early in their academic curriculum planning process so they can schedule these courses.

The Master of Health Care Administration 4+1 program is designed to offer Midway undergraduates a streamlined approach to completing their MHA at Midway in as little as one extra year and set them apart from others in the workforce.

Students apply to the 4+1 program and are accepted during the spring term of their junior year.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment of medical and health services managers to grow 29 percent from 2023 to 2033, much faster than the average for all occupations.
