
(Midway, Ky.) – Midway University will be welcoming home alumna Millie Marshall, President of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, as she returns to offer the Commencement Address on Saturday, May 12.
Marshall, the first female president at Toyota, is a 1999 graduate of Midway’s evening undergraduate program where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management.
Prior to her current position, Marshall served as the senior vice president of Manufacturing at Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia and vice president of Human Resources at Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America previously located in Erlanger, Ky. Marshall earned her degree while working at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, Kentucky where she was a specialist in the Information Systems division.
“We are thrilled to have one of our distinguished alumni return to speak to our graduating class,” said John P. Marsden, President, Midway University. “I believe it will be inspirational for our graduates to hear from Ms. Marshall about her career path and the journey she has taken to progress to her position within a global company.”
Midway University will confer degrees on 311 students at its Commencement Ceremony held Saturday, May 12 at 11 a.m. on campus in the Graves Amphitheater. This graduating class includes the first graduates of the University’s Master of Science in Nursing program as well as MBA students with concentrations in Equine Studies and Tourism and Event Management.
