Our online course format is structured to assist students with busy schedules complete their degree in an accelerated format but on their own schedule. Midway University’s online course format is 8-week module courses and each course is generally worth three-semester hours’ credit. Our modules start 5 times throughout the year in August, October, January, March and May.
Modules are a great way to complete the general education and elective credits needed for your degree. You can stay on track to complete your degree quickly by taking the courses for you major one at a time or several courses within one module online or a combination of online and evening courses. Taking two courses per 8-week term makes it possible for students to qualify for need-based financial aid.
Midway uses the Online Learning Management (LMS) Moodle system. Our online courses are offered asynchronously meaning you can perform your course work on your schedule but within a set time frame. Our courses start on Mondays and end on Sundays so assignments should be completed within this time frame. Midway offers great online support resources and our faculty and staff are always available for online students who have questions.
