Nursing Degrees at Midway
Midway University’s nursing school has been providing nursing education for more than 50 years. We offer nursing degrees from associate, bachelor, and master’s degree level. Our graduates are highly sought-after for their training and quality of care for their patients.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Length: Day Classes (4 16-week semesters, 2 years ) or Evening Classes or Online/Hybrid Classes (16 months)
The undergraduate nursing program curriculum has a dual focus. Classroom theory emphasizes the technical and theoretical aspects of nursing. Concentrated, supervised clinical laboratory experiences allow students to practice skills at several health care agencies in Central Kentucky. The ADN program prepares students to become registered nurses and qualifies them for seamless transition into our RN to BSN program. We offer an LPN-ADN Bridge program or ff you are a high school student, ask about our Fast Track Dual Credit Admissions Program into nursing.

Midway University’s pre-licensure Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) program combines general education courses with professional nursing theory, complex critical thinking, and clinical practice. Consistent with the mission and goals of the university, our BSN degree program prepares nurses as leaders who can provide health care to individuals, families, groups, and populations of diverse cultures in a variety of settings.
After graduation and successful completion of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), you will be on your way to practicing as a registered nurse in any number of healthcare settings. The BSN degree will also prepare you for graduate education and continued growth of your nursing career should you so choose.

RN-BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Length: 12 to 24 months
The online RN to BSN program is designed for working nurses. All coursework can be completed online (except two practicum courses), which makes our online RN to BSN program a convenient option for working nurses to complete their education. The BS in nursing degree can be completed in 12 to 24 months, so you can complete your education in the timeframe that best serves you. Students have the option to start five times throughout the year-January, March, June, August, or October.

Pre-Med Advising Program

Pre-medical advising at Midway University includes a variety of professional pathways including pre-medical, physical therapy, physician assistant, pre-osteopathic medicine, pre-podiatric, pre-dentistry, and pre-optometry. While programs vary in their requirements, typical coursework encompasses courses in biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, and mathematics. Many students on this path select a biology major and chemistry minor combination, but there are many degree choices that fit the pre-med advising program.

Midway University's Bachelor’s in Psychology with an Alcohol and Drug Counseling concentration will provide training in the special skills and techniques required in the profession of addiction counseling. Courses for the degree in counseling cover the 12 core functions of addiction counseling (screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, reports and record keeping, consultation).
