This month we’re shining the spotlight on Ashley Pollard ’17 as she reflects on her Midway experience. Originally from Delaware, OH, Ashley came to Midway to obtain her degree in Equine Health and Rehabilitation with a minor in Business. Ashley currently resides in Georgetown, KY and is an office assistant/veterinary technician Equine Medical Associates, PSC.

WHY I CHOSE MIDWAYU: I chose Midway because I loved the smaller student-to-professor ratio and all of the hands-on learning opportunities right on-campus! I also loved being a part of the Hunt Seat riding team both as a competitor and a co-captain.

FAVORITE MIDWAYU EXPERIENCE OR MEMORY: I always loved attending the Last Supper before final exams.

WHAT MIDWAYU MEANS TO ME: A close-knit group of alumni and mentors that will always be there to support me.

SKILLS LEARNED AT MIDWAYU: To always strive for the goals I want to achieve and to never stop reaching out and making connections.

ADVICE FOR FUTURE EAGLES: Seize every opportunity you can come across.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS: I have two dogs that keep me very busy! We love going to parks or on long walks.

INTERESTING FACT ABOUT YOU: You can hear my laugh a mile away, and anyone that used to eat in the dining hall around my group of friends can attest to that!

FAVORITE QUOTE: Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me – Michael Scott, The Office
