Kelly Beckett obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Education in 2015 and her Master of Education degree in 2019.

Mrs. Becket has been named principal of Scott County Middle School. She gained experience with the Teacher Effectiveness & Leadership Network, leading Professional Learning Communities, and directing the school’s mentoring and safe school’s programs.

Mrs. Becket is a published author, the 2022 Scott County Schools Middle School Teacher of the Year, a recipient of the Campbellsville University Excellence in Teaching Award, a multi-year nominee for Valvoline Kentucky Teacher of the Year, and winner of the Earle Clements Innovation in Education Award. She has served on the Midway University Advisory Board and as a volunteer with the YMCA.

Midway has continued to partner with me after graduation. Whether it be for college promotional information, judging my National History Day competition, or helping me find quality teachers - Midway continues to help me excel!”
