The Academy at Midway University

The Academy at Midway University supports the University’s mission by engaging and challenging students to achieve individual growth, responsible citizenship, and meaningful careers through personalized educational experiences while completing high school.

High school students who meet the admission requirements are eligible to participate in The Academy either through their participating high school, through participating in classes on Midway’s campus, or online.

Admissions Requirements

  • HS student must have Junior or Senior standing
  • ACT Composite score of 18
  • Minimum 2.5 high school GPA

Benefits For High School Students

  • Two free classes guaranteed through the KHEAA Dual Credit Scholarship program.
  • Additional dual credit scholarships possible depending upon classes taken.
  • All other classes will be billed at a reduced rate based upon the cost of KCTCS classes. For 2019-2020 this was $58.00 per credit hour or $174.00 for a 3-hour course. High school students may take as many courses at this rate as their high school schedule allows.
  • High school students participating in The Academy will be eligible for Midway scholarships for their education after high school
    • Students wanting to enroll in Midway University traditional program on campus are eligible for a $3000.00 annual scholarship.
    • Students wanting to enroll in Midway University’s evening and online programs are eligible for a $1000.00 annual scholarship.
