Master of Business Administration

Admission Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
    • GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is recommended
    • If the applicant’s degree is not in the area of business, the student must successfully complete BUSM 501 Foundations of Graduate Business within the first term of enrollment in the MBA program.
  • If English is not the first language then a TOEFL score of 550 (paper based), 213 (computer-based) 79-80 (Internet-based).
  • Applicant’s not meeting the recommended requirements for admission may be offered conditional admission upon the recommendation of the Dean. To attain full standing from conditional admission, the student must complete two modules of coursework at Midway University with at least a “B” average (3.0 on a 4.0 scale).
  • No GRE or GMAT required for admission

  1. Submit an Application for Admission. A nonrefundable $40 application fee is required for processing and can be paid online.
  2. Submit a current resume.

Master of Education

Admission Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution
    • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Licensed and current practicing teacher
  • If English is not the first language then a TOEFL score of 550 (paper based), 213 (computer-based) 79-80 (Internet-based).

Application Process

  1. Submit an Application for Admission. A nonrefundable $40 application fee is required for processing and can be paid online.
  2. Submit official transcripts from all previous colleges.
  3. Submit a Principal Recommendation Form.
  4. Participate in an interview with the Program Admissions Committee.

Master of Nursing

Admission Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a degree from either a CCNE or ACEN accredited program whose parent institution is regionally accredited. Degrees from foreign institutions will be reviewed on an individual basis.
    • Recommend a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in nursing (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Must hold current and unencumbered registered nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state.
  • If English is not the first language then a TOEFL score of 550 (paper based), 213 (computer-based) 79-80 (Internet-based).

Application Process

  1. Submit an Application for Admission. A nonrefundable $40 application fee is required for processing and can be paid online. (Paper applications are also available.)
  2. Submit official transcripts from all previous colleges.
  3. Submit MSN Background Form with a current resume or curriculum vitae.

Transfer Credits

Students pursuing a master’s degree may transfer a maximum of six semester hours of B or higher work at the program director’s discretion.
