First-Time Students

Starting college for the first time comes with a lot of questions. Whether you want to take online classes, attend evening classes, or a combination of all of the above, our evening and online undergraduate Admissions Counselors can help with each step to get you in your first class.

Below are the requirements for admissions into our Evenings and Online Undergraduate programs.

Academic Requirements:
Official ACT or SAT results (if under age 24).
Official high school transcript or official General Education Diploma transcript

Recommended minimum criteria:

  • 18 ACT or equivalent SAT score
    GPA of 2.5 or GED Score of 660 (165 or higher on each test)

Recommended High School preparation equivalency:
Algebra –3 years
English –4 years
Social Sciences –2 years
Science –2 years

Important Information for Online Students
Midway University delivers the same quality education to our online students as our face-to-face, on-campus students. However we are only authorized to offer online programs in certain states. If you live outside of Kentucky, click here for State Authorization list to see if we are authorized to teach online classes in your state.

Admissions Process:
Complete the application – Apply Online or Download A Printable (PDF) Application.

Submit Official Transcript(s) – Official high school (or GED) transcripts should be mailed directly by the issuing institution to the Office of Admissions or sent electronically by a secured third party site (i.e. Parchment Exchange, National Student Clearinghouse).

Submit Official SAT or ACT scores (if necessary) – Midway University will accept official score reports from the testing organizations. Midway’s SAT code is 1467 and ACT is 1528.
