Next Steps

Congratulations on your admission to Midway University!  Here’s a quick check of some of the next steps we need you to complete and some resources where you can find out information on registering for classes, your student account balance and email account access.

Next Steps for Undergraduate Students

Sign in to Self Service

Upon acceptance, your login information for your Midway Email and Self Service access was sent to the personal email on file. (Be sure to check your spam folder!) This is also where information about creating your course schedule will be sent. So be sure to set it up and check it regularly. If you’ve misplaced your login information, email help@midway.edu with your student ID.

Pay Your Tuition Deposit

A non-refundable tuition deposit must be paid prior to registering for Eagle Prep or completing remote registration.

Register for Housing

Complete and submit your housing application form and pay your housing deposit (this deposit is non-refundable, and will be credited back to your account after you begin classes). If you will be living off campus, you must complete a housing exemption form. To do so, simply log into eRezLife and select "Fall 2020/2021 - Housing Exemption" under "Apply for Housing."

Complete Campus Health Paperwork

Please identify the category to which you belong and complete the forms listed within that category. The forms listed in your specific category are required for move-in and/or athletic participation. Forms must be downloaded, completed, and uploaded via Healthy Roster, not in-person or via email .

Detailed instructions are available to help you gain access to your Healthy Roster account and complete and submit the required paperwork.

If you are under the age of 18, you will have to print out the consent forms and include a parent/guardian signature, then re-upload onto Healthy Roster. Parent/Guardian signatures cannot be electronically signed.

If you have any questions, please contact Head Athletic Trainer, Ariel Allman or Amy Swartzentruber, RN.

Sign Up for Eagle Prep

After paying your tuition deposit, sign up for Eagle Prep. Eagle Prep RSVPs without tuition deposits are not valid, so please make sure you complete that step first! Either in person or through our online option. In-person events are only offered in the summer, and those dates are generally available by February 1. This is the point at which you can meet your advisor, learn about resources and remaining items to be completed such as ordering books, finalizing financial aid/paying bills, etc.

Request Final Transcripts

Transfer students and first-time students with dual credit should request final official college transcripts. You will not receive credit for transcripts not received or for classes not marked as complete on previously sent transcripts. First-time students should also request final high school transcripts.

Next Steps for Evening & Online Undergraduate/Graduate Students

Speak to your advisor about registration

You will be contacted by either a faculty advisor or an Admissions Counselor to set up your first semester of courses.

Log in to your Midway email account

All students will receive a Midway University email account once they are admitted.  This account will automatically be created within 2-3 business days after acceptance.  When your new email account is created, instructions will be sent to the personal email account on file with the University.  It is very important that you check your Midway account regularly as this is our primary method of communication with students.

Familiarize yourself with MyMidway Portal

MyMidway Portal provides virtual access to the Midway campus including announcements, events, online class access, Midway email, and more.   You can also access Self-Service through the portal where you can view your student records such as class schedules, grades and faculty information.  You will be able to register for classes, print your schedule, check your bill, check the status of your financial aid and view your unofficial transcript record.

MyMidway Portal can be accessed by going to www.midway.edu and clicking on MyMidway Portal at the top of the page, or go directly to https://my.midway.edu.

*If you do not receive login information by email, contact our Help Desk at help@midway.edu.

Approve your financial aid award

If you wish to use financial aid funds (grants or loans) for your education, make sure you have completed the correct FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov.   Some students may be selected for verification, which means you will need to submit additional documentation before financial aid can be issued.   Once you are admitted and any verification documents have been submitted, the Financial Aid Office will post your award amounts to your Self-Service account in MyMidway Portal.   You will need to log-in to Self-Service and accept the financial aid award in order for it to be applied to your account.  Please note that grants are not available to graduate students.  If you have questions, please contact our Financial Aid Office at (859) 846-5410 or email FAID@midway.edu.

Review your bill

An email from BusinessOffice@midway.edu will be sent to you notifying you when charges or other transactions have been placed on your account. A Registration Statement will be available for review on your Self-Service account approximately 24 hours after you register.  If your financial aid has been finalized, you will see those funds applied to your balance.

Payments or payment arrangements can be made on Self-Service, by phone, by mail, or in person.  If payment in full or payment arrangements are not in place by the 10th day after classes begin, you will be dropped from your courses.  Questions about the Registration Statement or about other ways to pay should be directed to the Business Office at (859) 846-5402 or 5411.
