Our Sport Management degree combines business and management principles with sports, events, and marketing to provide a solid foundation for success. Students attain the skills needed to manage sport programs in a variety of settings, including business, community, public, and private.

Students can earn a full degree in Sport Management or choose to add the coursework and earn a minor along with their degree in another subject such as business, equine studies, marketing communications, etc.
The Sport Management curriculum allows students to combine their passion for sport with a well-developed understanding of the business enterprise. A degree in Sport Management allows students to receive the educational foundation and the practical experience necessary to gain access to a career in this competitive industry.
The minor in Sport Management requires 18 credit hours. Coursework covers topics of sport management theory, legal issues in sports, management, sport marketing, and more.
The MBA concentration in Sport Management is designed to prepare business graduates for the vast field of sports-related businesses. This program offers a strong business curriculum mixed with specialized sports-focused courses. Current undergraduate students can select the MBA 4+1 pathway option to earn both their undergraduate and graduate degree in just 5 years.
Students are eligible as “full-time and “part-time” students for Federal loans and may be eligible for Federal and/or State grants. (A full-time student is a student taking 12 credit hours or more per term; a part-time student is a student taking 6-12 credit hours.)

Make sure you get the whole picture before making your decision. First, complete your FAFSA so you can see what financial aid you are eligible to receive and complete your application. Once you are admitted to Midway University, you can meet with our Financial Aid Office to discuss all the eligible aid (federal, state and institutional) that you have access to and apply for scholarships. This is the only way to figure out the true cost and if you will have any out-of-pocket expenses to cover.
Midway University accepts transfer credits from regionally accredited institutions that are 100-level or higher with a grade of “C” or better. At the time of admission, our Admissions Counselors will provide an unofficial evaluation of your transfer credit. An official evaluation will be completed by the Registrar’s Office after acceptance.
Traditional students may declare a major that is only offered online following the guidelines of the online major policy in the academic catalog.
