The Health Science program at Midway University is designed for students who intend to attend graduate school in one of the allied health professions. The program provides students with a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics as well as general education requirements.

In this program, you will learn how to:

  • Analyze the scientific, environmental, and behavioral factors affecting human health
  • Explain the health system, its processes and issues, and the factors that affect it
  • Demonstrate scientific knowledge of the major challenges impacting human health
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to analyze and assess public health issues in an ethical manner
  • Provide examples and explanations of the connection among all the factors – scientific and environmental that impact human health
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the concepts and principles of the basic science, the application of the scientific method, and the interpretation of data from scientific literature to conduct research
  • Utilize laboratory procedures independently and analyze the results
  • Apply scientific concepts to experiments and disseminate the conclusions accurately and clearly

We offer a simple online application process. Create your account, submit all materials and track your application status conveniently online. Admissions Counselors are available to assist you with the application process and answer any questions you may have about Midway University and our programs. Students are eligible as “full-time and “part-time” students for Federal loans and may be eligible for Federal and/or State grants. (A full-time student is a student taking 12 credit hours or more per term; a part-time student is a student taking 6-12 credit hours.)

An admission decision can only be made with official documents. Transcripts are considered official when they are either mailed directly to Midway University from the issuing institution in a sealed envelope or sent electronically by a secured third party such at National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment.

Midway University works hard to provide quality degree programs at an affordable price for our students. Students can view our Tuition and Fees Schedule online.

Make sure you get the whole picture before making your decision. First, complete your FAFSA so you can see what financial aid you are eligible to receive and complete your application. Once you are admitted to Midway University, you can meet with our Financial Aid Office to discuss all the eligible aid (federal, state and institutional) that you have access to and apply for scholarships. This is the only way to figure out the true cost and if you will have any out-of-pocket expenses to cover.

Midway University accepts transfer credits from regionally accredited institutions that are 100-level or higher with a grade of “C” or better. At the time of admission, our Admissions Counselors will provide an unofficial evaluation of your transfer credit. An official evaluation will be completed by the Registrar’s Office after acceptance.

Traditional students may declare a major that is only offered online following the guidelines of the online major policy in the academic catalog.
