Midway University Nursing Programs Waive ACT and SNRA Requirements for Fall 2020

Midway University’s Nursing Programs have announced that the ACT and SRNA requirements will be waived for both Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) applicants for the Fall 2020 admission cycle only. This is being done to assist students who have been impacted by COVID-19 and are unable to take those tests because of site closures.

“With the impact of testing disruptions due to COVID-19 and incoming students not having the opportunity to take these standardized tests, our program has waived this requirement for incoming pre-nursing and transfer students for Fall 2020,” said Dr. Faith Garrett, Dean of the School of Health Sciences. “Now, more than ever, we need to grow our number of future nurses since the work they do is so critical.”

This waiver is for students applying to both our traditional undergraduate daytime ADN and BSN programs and our evening program for the ADN.

This applies to current “pre-nursing” students entering the program Fall 2020 as well as potential transfer students that have taken their prerequisites elsewhere and are ready to enter straight into the program in the Fall of 2020.
