New Crowdfunding Platform Launched to Support Midway Athletics

Midway University Athletics has a new, easy way for fans to support their favorite teams. During the recent fall semester, the Athletics Department, in conjunction with the Office of Advancement and eTeamSponsor, created the University’s inaugural crowdfunding campaign to ensure Eagle student athletes have the resources, experiences, and support they need to excel in competition and in the classroom. Each team has its own crowdfunding webpage that allows direct donations to be made to support that team and its student athletes.

“All of our teams fundraise to cover additional expenses their teams have outside of those budgeted for each year,” said Rusty Kennedy Vice President Admissions & Athletics. “We hope by consolidating these efforts online it will save valuable time for our players and coaches and provide a safe and secure platform for donations.”

Supporters of Midway University Athletics can make donations on the athletics website and select the team they wish to support. Teams have posted videos and listed general information about their fundraising goals and efforts. The current crowdfunding campaign will run until June 30, 2019.
