How to Connect to Midway College Wireless from IOS Based Devices
1. On your iOS device, look for the Settings icon
2. Select the Wi-Fi option
3. Select the appropriate network under “Choose a Network”
a. Students – Midway College Student
b. Faculty and Staff – Midway Faculty and Staff
4. Enter your @midway.edu address and password when prompted
5. Accept the Thawte.com certificate when prompted
6. Once you have accepted the certificate the iPhone will return to the Wi-Fi Networks window. A check mark should be placed next to the wireless network and you will see a wireless signal bar appear at the top of the display


How to Connect to Midway College Wireless from Android Based Devices
1. Navigate to your phones “Settings” Menu then “Wireless and Networks”
2. Select the Network Applicable for your use ie
a. Students – Midway College Students
b. Faculty and Staff – Midway Faculty and Staff

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. In the “security” field ensure WPA2-Enterprise is designated (this should already be the case)
4. Under “eap method” ensure peap is designated (should already be set this way)
5. In the “Phase 2 authentication” field ensure this is set to “mschapv2” (should already be set this way)
6. In the “identity” field enter your @Midway.edu email address
7. Leave “anonymous identity” blank
8. For password use your @midway.edu password’
9. Click “OK” and your phone will connect!

OSX Instructions for Midway Wireless
1. Click on the Wifi icon located in the upper right corner of your screen. Select the Network Applicable for your use ie
a. Students – Midway College Students
b. Faculty and Staff – Midway Faculty and Staff
2. OSX Will prompt you for your WPA2 Enterprise credentials. Please use your Midway.edu username and password and click “Join”
3. When prompted by the Verify Certificate window click the Show Certificate button
4. The certificate name should read “mc-nps01.midway.edu” and digitally signed by thawte. Once you’ve verified this click “continue”
5. In order to save these changes to your system, OSX will prompt you for your machines administrator username and password. This is typically not your @midway.edu account. Enter the administrator username and password and click “update settings”
6. Verify that you are now connected to the Secure Wireless infrastructure by viewing the wifi meter in the upper right-hand corner of your display
