When answering questions consider the following tips:
Be specific.                   Use examples from your experience.                 Refer to work samples.

Most Importantly:
Answer the question they are asking!

Questions to Expect During the Interview:

No matter what your career field is, most interviews begin with: “Relax and tell me a little about yourself.”

Other Possible Questions:

  • Why do you want to work for…?
  • What do you know about my company?
  • Why do you want to work for us?
  • Did you join any school activities?
  • What do you plan to be doing for work five years from today?
  • Give an example of a major problem you faced and how you solved it.
  • Greatest strength/weakness.
  • What motivates you to do a good job?
  • Do you work better alone or with a group?
  • What salary do you expect from this position?

Questions You Can Ask Them:

  • Can you describe a typical work day and the things I’d be doing?
  • How would I get feedback on my performance?

Follow-up After the Interview:
Don’t forget to send a thank you note.

  • Keep the note brief and thank the manger for meeting with you.
  • Send the note the very next day. 
  • Remind the manager in the note why you are the person they need to hire.
