Todd Short enters his fifth year as head coach of the Midway Eagles Fast Pitch Softball team. The rebuilding of the Midway Fast Pitch Softball program took a detour in 2006 after numerous season ending injuries depleted the Lady Eagles roster. Coach Short expects the rebuilding effort to get back on track in 2007. Expectations are high for a much improved team.
Fast pitch softball has been a significant part of Coach Short’s life. In addition to having a long career as a member of a traveling team that played across the country, Coach Short has been a pitching and hitting instructor for many young athletes across central Kentucky.

While at Lindsey she had a very successful career, both academically and athletically. Leigh was on the Mid-South Conference All-Academic Team along with receiving All-Conference Honors all three years of eligibility. She ranks in the top ten in Lindsey Wilson Softball History in hits, runs scored, doubles, earned run average, strikeouts, saves, and assists from an outfielder. “I know how hard it can be to excel both in the classroom and the field. That is why I am so excited to take all the knowledge and experience that I have and pass that on to these girls.”
