The Event Team is open to all students at Midway College who have experience with the sport of Three-Day Eventing or who have experience on the flat and over fences with a desire to learn more about the Eventing discipline. Members compete on personal and/or school horses and travel to local United States Eventing Association (USEA) sanctioned shows, schooling Horse Trials and Combined Tests, and to recognized and schooling dressage shows. Midway College is located in Area VIII of the USEA, which includes Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania. Team members often propose other shows for the schedule, both schooling and recognized, as options for the team. The Event Team show schedule is flexible and open to all requests supported by team interest. In addition to competitions, the Event Team members are invited each year to be outriders for the prestigious Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event.
