She was also awarded the Prince of Wales Club member of the year for her work on the annual Charity Horse Show. In 1988, she moved on to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to teach the riding classes while working on a Masters Degree in Vocational and Technical Education.  While working at MTSU, Bartley-Lehman also became a working student for David Wright at Hunters Court Stables.  While working at Hunters Court, she had the opportunity to prepare both horses and riders for the “A” Hunter Circuit as well as manage “B” level Hunter Shows.  Upon completion of her Master’s Degree, she became the Director / Instructor of Equine Technology and Women’s Rodeo Coach at Dodge City Community College.  During her tenure at DCCC, the program doubled in size while becoming very competitive at Open and AQHA shows.

In 1993, Bartley-Lehman started her own training and lesson business in Beulah, Colorado.  During this time, she coached and trained State and National Champions in Western Horsemanship, Showmanship, Trail, Reining, Hunt Seat Equitation and Working Hunter.  Additionally, she was the Co-Chairman of the 4-H Horse Council and coached several state champion High School Rodeo Barrel Racers.  Bartley- Lehman was recruited to run the Western Program at William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri in 1996.  Again, while working at WWU the program more than doubled in size.  The students were competing and winning with donated Quarter Horses, Paints, Arabians, and Saddlebreds at both national and local level Registered and Open shows.

Throughout her career, Bartley-Lehman has worked hard to give back to the equine industry by teaching, and giving clinics.  She has judged all over the country, as well as officiated many prestigious Horse Judging Contests.  She has placed in the top ten at the Quarter Horse world show in both Reining and Cutting.  Additionally, she has placed in the top ten at the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Versatility, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Western Riding, and Reining.  She is always willing to jump in and help with any aspect of horse show production.  She has worked such prestigious shows as the Colorado Super Circuit, the Missouri Boy’s Town Show, the North Carolina Jamboree and the Martinganza Circuit.  Most recently she has been in demand as a professional Trail Course designer and clinician.  Bartley-Lehman is one of those rare people who extremely diverse. She has been involved, on a national level, in many different aspects of the horse industry.  She has even been a part of the family cow/calf operation so she understands the requirements and the needs of the working horse industry. These qualifications and experiences are what make Bartley-Lehman an excellent teacher and coach.
