Additionally, he set 3 individual school records as the fastest 8K Cross-Country time in school history, in the 3,000m Steeplechase, and as part of the distance medley relay.

After completing his B.S. in 1999, he fulfilled his commitment to the country by serving for 6 years as an officer in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Captain. During his time in the Air Force he was stationed in Texas, South Carolina, Washington (state), and did a 6-month tour in Iraq . While stationed in Washington , Davisson coached the base youth (under 18) Track & Field team with great success. He led four individuals, 3 of whom had no previous experience in Track & Field, to the regional championships, with one regional champion who advanced to the Junior Olympic national championships. In his first year as Midway's Cross Country coach he led 4 of Midway's all tie top-10 performers.

Coach Davisson is excited about his second year and the opportunity to compete in the conference and regional meets this year. "As a club team we couldn't compete in the conference meet last year, so I am excited to have the opportunity to compete against our rivals when we are all at our best". Even more than competing though he says he enjoys the day-to-day interaction with his athletes "I am truly blessed to have such a great group of athletes to work with, the young ladies on this team have good attitudes, are hard-working, motivated, and fun-loving, anyone would be lucky to coach this team."
