Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC)

Midway College is a proud member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC). SOC is a partnership between higher-education institutions, the Department of Defense, the Military Services, the National Guard and the Coast Guard. As an SOC member, Midway is committed to facilitating the transfer of relevant course credits from appropriate military training and experience. For veterans or reservists who are beginning or continuing study, Midway will evaluate military courses, experience and college courses already taken for possible college credits toward the chosen degree program.

Concurrent Admissions Program (ConAP)

The Concurrent Admissions Program (ConAP) is a partnership between the Army Recruiting Command, over 1,600 participating colleges and Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) to link new soldiers to college at the time of enlistment. As a ConAP participant, Midway College allows eligible new soldiers to receive admission to college concurrent with their military enlistment. Active duty soldiers may defer enrollment until they complete their initial enlistment. The student may be awarded credit for military courses and/or military job experience appropriate to the student’s curriculum.
