Community Service Reading / Math Tutor

Positions Available:

Department:
Community Service
Rate:
$8.25/hour
Department Hours:
3PM-6PM Must Provide Own Transportation
Job Description:
This is a wonderful community service position that would be excellent hands-on experience for Teacher Education majors. It could also be a good opportunity for Psychology majors who wish to go into counseling or social services, or for a Business major who is interested in learning about the work of local non-profit organizations. Because there is also an activity component, a Sport Management major could contribute by helping plan/lead activities for the students. This is a wonderful opportunity to earn money while building experience for resumes and scholarship applications. Several of our students who have been mentors have gone on to receive other scholarships and awards in part through their involvement with Mentors & Meals.
