Midway College Welcomes New Director of Development

Midway, Ky. - Midway College is pleased to welcome Christy Smith as its new Director of Development. Smith brings with her experience in association management, fundraising, government relations and event planning.

"We are excited to have a person of Christy's caliber join our development team here at Midway College. Her experience as a project manager of an international foundation coupled with her extensive experience in event planning and fundraising brings immediate benefits to our Office of Development," said Roy W. Mundy II, Vice President of Development at Midway College. "I know Christy is looking forward to working with all stakeholders of the college as we continue to provide students with the education they desire, providing Kentucky with citizens that have the education the state needs."

Smithcomes to Midway College from IMG World Wide in Lexington, Kentucky, where she most recently served as a Project Manager for the International Spa Association. Prior to that position, she served as government relations manager and events manger for the National Tour Association, also a division of IMG World Wide. Smith is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and holds a bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications.

As Director of Development, Smith will work closely with the leadership of the College on annual giving plans, building campaigns and alumni affairs.
