Rosemont, IL-American Medical Technologists (AMT) will award Deborah Janeczko, RMA, from Oldsmar, Florida, the AMT Distinguished Achievement Award. The award will be presented at AMT’s Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 10, 2013.
The Distinguished Achievement Award is in recognition of outstanding activity and service to AMT and its members at the state level.
Deborah Janeczko was certified by AMT in 1985. Deborah is a board member of the Florida State Society and serves on the AMT national Student Activities and Future Planning/Membership Committees. She had earned state awards including RMA of the Year in 2011, Certificate of Appreciation from 2009-2013 and Certificate of Merit in 2010 and 2011. She is also active in state activities including presenting and moderating education sessions and conducting webinars. Deborah received a Masters in Education and Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida, an associate degree from St. Petersburg College and a medical assisting diploma from Aristotle College of Medical and Dental Technology. She is the Director and Faculty of the Medical Assisting Program at Midway College in Midway, Kentucky.
American Medical Technologists is a nationally and internationally recognized certification agency for allied health professionals. In existence since 1939, AMT is also a membership association, providing continuing education and other services to over 50,000 members.
