Midway University seeks a part-time instructor to teach an elementary and middle Science and Math methods course for the Spring 2016 semester. This course will prepare students to acquire the knowledge base to be an effective teacher in the content areas of Science and Math. The course includes instructional practices that will give the students the tools they will need to be successful in an elementary and middle school Science and Math classroom setting. The course will also give students the understanding of the elements in designing units of study in Science and Math.
The course is offered in-seat at the main campus in Midway.
Midway University, founded in 1847 and affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), is the only Women’s College in Kentucky and provides accelerated degree completion and graduate programs for both women and men through evening and online delivery. Committed to both the liberal arts and professional programs, the university offers 24 majors leading to degrees at the associate and bachelors levels as well as graduate degree programs in business and education. The main campus is located in Midway, Kentucky in the center of the Bluegrass Region and 15 miles outside Lexington.
Minimum qualification is a master’s degree in the teaching field, with certification in elementary/middle school.
