The Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Organizational Administration and Leadership (OAL) has been developed to meet the educational needs of non-traditional students returning to college to complete a degree at times convenient to their busy schedules. This unique program features accelerated instruction directed toward individuals who have at least two years of college credit. The OAL curriculum emphasizes problem solving, critical thinking, self-analysis, research, communication and ethical decision making. OAL courses include Managerial Accounting, Managerial Economics, Statistical Methods and Analysis, Strategic Planning, Marketing, Business Ethics, Human Resource Management, Communication, and Group and Organizational Behavior. Also over the course of the program, students will complete a research project which is for the purpose of improving the organization in which they work, or some other organization to which they belong or enjoy access. The research requires a clear statement of a problem, a review of literature, research, and a feasible solution. OAL students and graduates are employed in many Fortune 500 companies. Others hold management positions in state and federal government, health care facilities, higher education, and corporate HR. Some own their own businesses or are developing business plans to form or purchase a business.
