The NPD 3 course series is an accelerated program offered through the School for Career Development. Each course meets one night a week on the Midway College campus for 5 weeks each.
The New Product Development program is taught as a series of three courses which are designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of the body of knowledge associated with the field of New Product Development (NPD). Due to it's cross functional nature, NPD requires an understanding of several discipline areas and represents a challenging, yet rewarding knowledge base which is highly sought after by organizations. Completing all three of the following courses will provide the student with the essential knowledge base required to pass the New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification exam. It is highly recommended that students take the NPDP Exam Review prior to taking the exam. The New Product Development series will be taught using a variety of techniques, including: lecture, large and small group discussion, audio/visual presentations, and group exercises.
