Associate of Arts Degree in Law Enforcement
The Associate of Arts Degree in Law Enforcement is a program which is offered in conjunction with the Lexington Division of Police and the Police Training Academy.
The program is offered in joint partnership between Midway College’s faculty and the qualified faculty of the Police Academy, Lexington. The degree comprised of 67 credit hours.
Graduates of the program will be certified for service as police officers in the Lexington Division of Police, and will be eligible to pursue a higher degree at Midway College such as the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Homeland Security, or the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Administration and Leadership. Students would also be eligible to pursue a higher degree in Law Enforcement.
The program is open only to those candidates who have been accepted into the Police Academy and who have met Midway College’s admission standards.
Students will attend classes Monday through Friday and will be involved in the academy each day from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The length of the program is one full calendar year from the date of entrance into the program.
