Commencement Details

Seating

Early arrival is encouraged, as guest seating is limited. Tickets are only required if the ceremony is moved indoors due to inclement weather. However, there are a limited number of guests seats in the amphitheater. As a result, we encourage you to bring a folding chair or blanket in the case that all seating is taken.

Special Accommodation Parking

If you will be transporting a person that requires special accommodations, please notify Student Affairs (BEFORE May 13th) and you will be given a pass for one of the limited number or reserved spaces. This pass must be displayed on your dashboard the day of Commencement. It is very possible that we will not have enough reserved spaces for everyone requesting one. If this occurs, please tell the Security Officer at the entrance bridge so arrangements will be made for you to “drop off” your passenger.

Line-Up

All faculty and students participating in the Commencement processional should line report to the Anne Hart Raymond Center lobby at 4:00 p.m.

Commencement Photo Information

Graduates will have two photo ordering opportunities for commencement. Photos will be taken of each graduate receiving his/her diploma. In addition, graduates will have the opportunity to have a posed cap and gown photo made before or immediately following commencement. Photo packages, prices and times of posed photos vary and will be handled by photographer Mark Cornelison. For additional information contact Mark Cornelison at 859-321-0853 or go to to http://markcornelison.com/pages/midway.html to get photo package details and view photos of the event.
