Coach Davisson is a native of Chillicothe, Ohio, and is a 1999 graduate of Centre College where he earned a bachelor's degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. While at Centre, Coach Davisson competed in both Cross Country and Track earning numerous all-conference and all-region awards as well as setting several school records.
After completing his B.S. in 1999, he fulfilled his commitment to his country by serving for six years as an officer in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of captain. During his time in the Air Force he was stationed in Texas, South Carolina, Washington State, and did a six-month tour of duty in Iraq. While stationed in Washington, Davisson coached the base youth (under 18)
Track & Field team with great success. He led four individuals, three of whom had no previous experience in Track & Field, to the regional championship meet, with one regional champion who advanced to the Junior Olympic national championships.
Five of Midway's all time top-10 performers in Cross Country have come during Coach Davisson's first two years. At the start of the 2008-2009 school year Coach Davisson joined the faculty, teaching mathematics, and also serves as assistant athletic director. "With my new roles I feel much more connected with the school and to the students than ever before, I look forward to working with the students and seeing them improve in the classroom as well as on the course and the track."
