Wendy Hoffman
Head Tennis Coach
whoffman@midway.edu
Wendy Hoffman has led the Eagles to successful records since the inaugural tennis season in 1996. Coach Hoffman was named KIAC Coach of the Year in 1996, 1999, 2007, 2008, and 2009 for her efforts. Her commitment to her team and players is the basis for Coach Hoffman’s philosophy as coach. “It is important that I set the tone for our team through my absolute commitment to the athletic and academic success of each of our student-athletes. My love of tennis, enjoyment from competition, and satisfaction from athletics and fitness have brought me many personal benefits throughout my life. By providing the same opportunity for our student athletes, I hope that similar benefits will stay with them all through their lives.”
Coach Hoffman spent her college days competing for St. Joseph's University in Pennsylvania as a four-year varsity tennis player. She was named team captain in her senior year. She is a member of the USTA and the William J. Moore Tennis Facility.
Coach Hoffman also serves as a full-time professor in the Business Administration program and athletic director. She sees her multiple roles at the College as an especially effective situation to serve as a mentor to all students.
