Wendy Hoffman has led the Eagles to successful records since the inaugural tennis season in 1996. Coach Hoffman was named KIAC Coach of the Year in 1996, 1999, 2007, 2008, and 2009 for her efforts. Her commitment to her team and players is the basis for Coach Hoffman’s philosophy as coach. “It is important that I set the tone for our team through my absolute commitment to the athletic and academic success of each of our student-athletes. My love of tennis, enjoyment from competition, and satisfaction from athletics and fitness has brought me many personal benefits throughout my life. By providing the same opportunity for our student athletes, I hope that similar benefits will stay with them all through their lives.”
Coach Hoffman spent her college days competing for St. Joseph's University in Pennsylvania as a four-year varsity tennis player. She was named team captain in her senior year. She is a member of the USTA and the William J. Moore Tennis Facility.
Coach Hoffman also serves as a full-time professor in the Business Administration program and Director of Athletics. She sees her multiple roles at the College as an especially effective situation to serve as a mentor to all students.
Volunteer Assistant Coach Boyd begins her second year with the Midway College Tennis team after playing for four years on the team and earning many athletic honors. Coach Boyd holds the position of Special Education Teacher at Simmons Elementary School in Versailles, KY.
