Fast Pitch Softball Season Outlook

Midway College Softball will continue to add to their success from last year. This year’s team brings in 4 new incomers to add to the 13 returning Eagles. They will add depth and talent to a roster that looks to make a good run in the KIAC this year. The 3 freshman consists of Outfielder Morgan Mullin (Scott Co.), Infielder Kelly Vogel (Oldham Co.), and Outfielder Joanna Brock (West Jessamine), and sophomore transfer Outfielder Danielle Minchin (Greenfield/IUPUI). These new Eagles will join returners Infielder Megan Hinds (North Hardin), Pitcher/Infielder Heather Oldham (North Hardin/Lincoln Trail), Infielder Emily Woolum (Boyle Co./Lindsey Wilson),Catcher Samantha Youngblood (Lafayette), Outfielder Caitlin McCray (East Jessamine), Infielder/Pitcher Tiffany Davis (West Jessamine), Catcher Lacey Holt (Russell Co.), Pitcher/Infielder Evie Frederick (Danville/University of Cumberlands), Infielder Karie Powell (Henry Co.), Outfielder Krista Hahn (Nelson Co.), Infielder Sarah Mitchell (Mason Co.), Infielder Drewcila Jackson (Somerset), Utility Angalina Canary (Ohio Co.) to put together what hopes to be a memorable and very successful season.
Coach Oakley and Coach Mullins look for an experienced group of players to put it all on the line to put together what promises to be a very hard-working, dedicated, and impressive year.
