Head Coach Trip Rogers will be entering his third season with the Eagles Soccer Program. Coach Rogers came to Midway from Georgetown College where he was the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach. Coach Rogers is well-known in the soccer community having coached at the high school and club levels. He is currently a member of Kentucky Youth Soccer's Olympic Development Staff as a Goal Keeper and Team Coach. Coach Rogers is also the Girls Technical Director at Bluegrass Soccer Club, Co-Director of Keeper Edge Soccer Programs and the Head Coach of the 97 Girls at BSC.
Coach Rogers is married to Jill Rogers, a PhD candidate at the University of Kentucky, and they have one son.
Eddie Hernandez is beginning his first season as the Assistant Coach for the Women’s Soccer Program at Midway College. Coach Hernandez came to Midway College after coaching club soccer in Kentucky and helping ODP part-time. He is also involved in Bluegrass Soccer Club and holds a USSF National “D” License along with a NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma Level II. Coach Hernandez soccer experience originated in Texas where he played at Texas Wesleyan University (NAIA) and earned many NAIA Conference awards. As a center midfielder and captain, he led his team to many conference tournaments and his last year taking the team to the regional tournament.
He is currently pursuing his MBA and continues to stay heavily involved in the soccer community.
This is Coach Greg Hilvers’ first season as a coach with Midway. He has coached at all age levels with local clubs and most recently was the Head Coach for the Lexington Catholic High School Men’s team. Coach Hilvers is also the Co-Director of Keeper Edge Soccer Programs and the Director of Goalkeeping at Bluegrass Soccer Club. He holds his USSF “D” National license and is a certified NSCAA level II goalkeeper instructor.
Coach Hilvers teaches Social Studies at Lexington Catholic high school and is married to Sarah Hilvers.
