Golf Season Outlook

The new Midway Golf Team makes their program debut at the Bill Sargent Invitational on September 9th. Coach Smith is creating a team with ability, strong work ethic and passion for the game and expects to rise to the top of the conference in a short time period. The programs first ever signee is Katelynn Coyle (FR) from South Oldham County High School. Katelynn, a player with impressive golf skills and the potential to be a top participant in the conference will be a leader on the team for the next four years. The Eagles will play three tournaments in the Fall and four tournaments in the Spring. The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Championship will be the last tournament and will be contested in late April.

Midway College looks forward to offering Women’s Golf as a new inter-collegiate sport for the academic year 2013-14. Varsity positions are available and scholarships will be awarded.

The MC Golf Team will be sponsored by Midway College under the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, operate under NAIA regulations, and participate in selected, mostly local competitions as well as the KIAC Golf Championships each April. United States Golf Association rules govern course play. Our student-athletes will abide by the eligibility rules of the NAIA, and, in general, in compliance with the NAIA Champions of Character program.

Midway College is a member of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
