Western Season Outlook

IHSA Western Team

Midway College is located in IHSA Zone 6 Region 2, which encompasses central Kentucky and Southern Ohio. The IHSA Western team competes against riders from seven other schools including Miami University (OH), Morehead State University, Ohio University Southern, University of Cincinnati, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, and Wilmington College.

Open Western Team

The Open Western team travels to nearby Lakeside Arena in Frankfort, Kentucky to compete in American Quarter Horse Association (AQUA), National Reining Horse Association (NRHA), and Bluegrass Ranch Horse Association (BRHA) shows. The team also participates in events such as the Mounted Games at the Kentucky Horse Park and local fun shows.
