Head Coach will be entering her fifth season as Head Coach of the Eagles. Before coming to Midway in 2008, , an Ohio native, had been an assistant basketball coach at John Carroll University (Cleveland, Ohio) and Walsh University (North Canton, Ohio). While at Walsh University, also served as the Head Golf Coach for three seasons, being named AMC Coach of Year in 2004. While coaching full-time, she completed her Master’s Degree in Education in 2007. Prior to Walsh University, was a classroom teacher and varsity basketball coach for two years at Berne Union High School in Southern Ohio. Coach is currently an Assistant Professor within the Midway College Teacher Education program, and will serve as the Faculty President for the 2013-2014 school year.
As an undergrad, was the MOC Freshman of the Year, a three-time First Team All-AMC Conference player, and an NAIA All-American while playing basketball at the University of Rio Grande (Rio Grande, Ohio). Ranking first in games played and won, lead Rio Grande to an overall collegiate record of 100-32. She is the All-Time Leading Rebounder and Third on the All-Time Scoring list at U. of Rio Grande. She was the first basketball player in Rio Grande history to amass over 1500 points and 1000 rebounds as a student-athlete. Graduating in 2001 with a B.S. in Secondary Education – Social Science. Coach was most recently inducted into the University of Rio Grande Athletic Hall of Fame in November, 2011.
Coach : “This should be an exciting year for Eagle Basketball and Midway College. The college has seen some major changes and we are looking forward to continued growth as a program and an institution. We have a number of experienced returners and a great class coming in this season. The coaching staff has worked hard recruiting this past year and we look forward to getting starting in the next few weeks.”
