Sands of Time!
Dear Friend:
Student success at Midway College ensures our growth, individually and as an institution. Collectively, our contributions to the Midway College Faculty Staff Campaign catalyze further generosity thereby fostering student success. This year’s campaign co-chairs serve the college in very diverse roles. One as a dedicated faculty member and the other as a graduate of this college and a loyal employee for 30 years plus.
As we go into our 161st year, Midway College has witnessed numerous changes during its existence since opening in 1847 as Kentucky Female Orphan School (KFOS). Since then several major military wars or conflicts have occurred, including The Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korean, Vietnam, and The Gulf War. We have also witnessed the exploration of space, particularly Neil Armstrong placing the first steps on the Moon. Through the world of technology we are now able to communicate with others through the World Wide Web in a manner of seconds. Through these sands of time Midway College is still continuing its original mission of service to the community as well as providing a high level of education to her many diverse students.
As we conduct the Annual Fund 2008 campaign in these last weeks of September, continued support to the college is always welcomed and greatly appreciated and our goal is 100 percent participation. Let’s do our best and make this a successful campaign three years in a row. By showing 100 percent support you are telling everyone that you trust the college to make the best decisions for all persons involved. Our students benefit the most by the Institutional Aid that the college is able to offer. Always remember that gifts of every amount truly do matter!
Please join us in supporting “Sands of Time” our 2008 Faculty/Staff Annual Fund Campaign. Your contribution may be made by personal check, cash or through payroll deduction. Please return your gift or pledge amount on the form provided to Di Boyer in Marrs Hall by October 1, 2007. We look forward to reporting our 100 percent progress in the upcoming weeks.
Thank you and as always your support is truly appreciated.
Sincerely,
|
