Every business – in all forms and definitions of business – must satisfy customers in order to survive. Customer satisfaction is sought in Business to Consumer models as well as Business to Business models. Marketers develop ways to increase sales and build brand awareness. They are involved in the marketing strategy of an organization, combining research, advertising, promotions, sales incentives and pricing. Marketing touches every organization on a global basis.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics forecast strong job growth in the marketing field through 2016. Competition is expected to be stiff for marketers in every industry; however, candidates with a strong understanding of current marketing trends and a proven track record of results should have the best opportunities.
